Pink Sya's Concert

Look at what they Sya wear for her concert yesterday! All pinkness! But that's okay. Look at the ribbons on her arms. I would probably not get that gown for that thing on her arm. And if she were older, she wouldn't want that either. It makes her a bit errr plump. Shhh don't tell her that.

She was all excited. Why wouldn't she. She finally get to put make up on her face. I don't usually like that. But I have been little girl before. And stage time means make up time. And like many other little girls with lipstick on, they don't seem to be able to close their mouth. Perhaps the weight of the lipstick was too heavy on her.

Then the teacher got her tiara and when flocked together, I thought they look really nice. Like one of those animated barbie doll fairy-princess series. Isn't that the dream thing for girly little girls. Why is it some parents do not like their little girls to be a girl? Does being girly girls show lack of strength?

I had to breastfeed Zachary to sleep and I wrongly chose the camera setting for my lover. Thus the blurry pictures. But just enjoy the essence of pinkness.

tapi i pun rasa gincu merah tuh agak menonjol, dan mencacatkan sedih.

  23. saya rasa pinkness dan ke-girly-an tak semestinya influence mak bapak. saya sendiri tak pernah jadi girly girl, walaupun dalam school concert. puaslah mak saya pujuk, cubalah pakai pink, cubalah pakai makeup. tanak jugak, sampai sekarang.
adik saya marina, on the other hand, sangat happy bila pakai pink segala-galanya, siap tiara dan kasut high heels, walaupun kitorang yang jahat-jahat ni suka panggil dia mokcik perasan.

tapi sangat agreed, sya sangat kiut miut. posing pun natural gitu.

  24. hah ada pun orang komen pasal tu. Precisely the point. The parents let the child choose (cuma I hope dia tak choose nak jadi gay lesbian thingy ok, I am so against that). Some parents I jumpa asked me about Sya's hair yang panjang and how she is girly and all that. They insist on wearing only pants for their girls. I said why. I mean Sya wear jeans and all, but I don't insist on anything. I really wonder what's their issue.

Masa kecik2 I pun suka pakai mekap, but bila I teenage I was a tomboyish and now I am the symbol of elegance. Eh melalut pulak.

  27. yes kalau boleh tak nak la girls growing up with a Barbie mentality kan. hmm ni isu kena blog nih he he he

  28. betul lollies, i heran some parents paksa girls dia pakai pants only, no skirt sebab takut dia tak lasak, lembik whatsoever

i knew someone (jantan) masa kecik memang lasak, atlit and jantan habis but tukar jadi maknyah at the age of 20+, ini tak ada kena mengena dengan pakaian dia masa kecik

  29. tenah - yes lah, barbie to so not healthy sebenarnya. Dengan baju dia. Tapi on the other hand, ada jugak I beli satu dua for her. Why eh? I think she is not aattached to it though. She use it as a baby for her to tend to.

cik ni - the keyword is paksa. Asal nak paksa2 ya tak? Kalau benda yang logic nak paksa, lainlah.
