Shower Together

We had to collect water now because the rising temperature makes the pipe water too hot to shower if you take a late shower. And do beware when you wash the pee in the midst of noon for the water may scorch you.

Jack was giggling with Sya one day when he saw the collected water.

But Sya being the must-tell-everything-to-Ibu told me what they were giggling about. Jack has this crazy theory that he is sure that Ibu and Ayah is taking shower together in the tub. More giggle giggle.

Well what do you, it is a sunnah for husband and wife to take a shower, I told them as a matter of factly.

*Gasps*

Oh really? Giggle giggle.

Narrated 'Aisha:

The Prophet and I used to take a bath from a single pot called 'Faraq'.

This my bone of contention, really (no hidden meaning intented, :))

Kala Rasulullah mandi wajib guna air sikit je, why kita mandi wajib sampai berjam-jam?

But I don't deny I mandi biasa pun lama juga, 5 to 10 minutes or more. Memang best main air ni.

But my point is bila benda ni jadi "wajib". Kononnya tak sah mandi wajib kalau tak jolok dan bersihkan semua lubang, bukak semua sanggul etc.

Bodoh lah some of orang Islam termasuk some of the ulama.

It does not matter 'how' we do it..but the idea is good. Dulu-dulu mandi di air telaga pakai timba saja...:)

nonah - terkejut jugaklah. not the fact that parents should be taking shower together but the fact that it is a sunnah. :D

hansac - you are correct. it is a shame on all of us. we are clouded yang kononnya nak beramal bersunguh-sungguh or clouded by was-was yang terlampau. sampai kan we over do it. Alhamdulillah the more one learn the manners of Rasulullah conduct his daily life and his methods of worship (which what we should be following because kalau tak ikut rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasalam, nak ikut siapa pulak), we would learn that ibadah is even easier.

liyas - anything that is sunnah is indeed a good idea. we do not need dr. love to point this out to us kan? :D
