First Batch of Open House : Done!

Last night I opened up my open house for our first batch of guests, my lover's officemates. As you know, I like calling people in small batches rather than the one shot, cover all open house. I prefer an intimate entertaining.

The menu? Oh same thing I did last year. Just a bit of adjustments due to lack of ingredients.

Rice
Thai Curry Prawn with Pineapple
Beef Patayya style
Sweet and Sour Garoupa
Fried sawi with fishballs
Marble Jelly pudding
Watermelon juice
Sweet melon
Crunchy grape

The men, I noticed, ate a lot. I think its because they missed the white rice afer gluttoning over ketupat and rendang and noodles and laksa.

A few more batches to go perhaps. Kalau rajin. Some people who are actually close to me heard about my open house and have been hinting why they are not invited. Gulp! If only they know that I will invite them on the weekend so they can spend time longer at my place. I will explain to them after this.

Kadang-kadang tak tau nak masak apa dah. But next possible in line

Mee curry
Laksa Johor
Mee bandung
Lontong set
perhaps a breakfast invi so can make nasi lemak
nasi puteh set with steam fish and chicken padprik

Somewhere therelah. Can you help me with more ideas?

i pun tahun ni ikut nasihat pakar (u la.. tq) buat sikit2, tak macam last year buat sekali harung..!!! nak pengsan last year.

kebetulan akak msia belakang umah buat open house petang 1st day raya, i pun jemput jugak 1st batch tu aka muslim msians je dulu la.. i masak mi calong (mi sup bebola ikang versi ganu).. next will be nasi lemak..

u tak jawap ucapan selamat hari raya, maap zahir batin dari i kat previous post u.. sedih nya daku.. uhuk uhuk..

I always prefer smaller gatherings. Boleh bborok lebih over kuaci..

. Pana Cotta (sp?) with strawberry sauce(Maam buat nii best tauu)

. Garden Salad with Vinagrette (sp) Dressing.
. Mushroom Soup with Clear Noodle.
. Ikan Goreng Tauchu.
. Roti John.
. Bun with Slice Omelette cicah with Curry.
. Fresh Peeled Chilled Betik
. Air Bandung Berkorbonat.

Better stop here....

lollies, kat malaysia ni no need for breakfast - nasi lemak can serve any time throughout the day. so kira menu nasi lemak tu okay le. anyway, selamat hari raya and maaf zahir batin. you guys seem like having a ball!

macam2...ikut rajin malas je lollies...maklang pun tahun ni malas nak jemput ramai2 sekali gus sebab kadang2 tak perasan siapa yang hadir

sejak last year dah start jemput in groups...lagi pun badan dah tak larat nak layan ramai2 sekali..

mak lang - mee singapore tu macamana mak lang? mee hoon sinngapore ke? yang warna puteh tu? tapi spaghetti tu memang ada plan nak buat. especially masa masak pedas-pedas. jadi budak kecik boleh makan

apa kata buat 2 jenis noodles

1.mee hoon sup untuk budak2

2.mee kari/bandung untuk orang beso


pastu kalau nak tambah grilled chicken wings( campak je dlm oven sekali harung),fruit kebabs(budak2 suka buat ni)
pastu buat ler apa2 bubur...jagung ke, pulut itam ke, terigu ke, yg tak payah susah2 bahan dia.

kopi o, teh tarik.budak2 beli air kotak je dah.begheh!

Jangan harap la i nak suggest apa apa kat you. I sendiri pun terkial kial nak masak kat dapur. hahahaa.. alah you dah terror nak masak untuk guest yang banyak....

Tahun ni aku nekad buat satu main menu sahaja (malahan, setakat ini, that is the only menu) iaitu mihun soto.
