My house is very very near to my school (but very very very far from the kids' school). I always have the luxury of going out of the house 5 minutes from class and got there just in time. But then people would ask me why am I late? Traffic huh? Err yes.
Anyway, today a friend of mine said can I go to your house after class, for solat? Despite my house is very near, no one has ever come to my house after class. It is probably because no one ever dare to ask and also because I never invite anyone anyway. Not that I don't like inviting, but because I am always in the fast mode, it would be inappropriate to invite anyone. I only have time to get home, solat, prepare some juice for the kids in the car, grab some food on the road and go out again.
So a friend wanted to tumpang solat hari ni, which I welcomed very much.
But then my house was like tongkang pecah! Errkkss! The books that I read yesterday was strewn on the sofa. dengan notebooks. the kids book were on the floor. My camera siap dengan speedlite lagi on the dining table. Jack is in the mood of cutting using scissors, so imagine the little little rubbish. The small computer table was stacked with books, it was almost as tall as the monitor. And it was not stacked according to width lak tu.
The left over coco pops that the kids ate during breakfast were still on the kitchen table. And so were the funnily chewed toasts (not rotidua). Thankfully I still had some pancakes. I made extra so I can eat after class. I served that to my friend who ate heartily. (That I am very happy! :D) And a small bowl of leftover spaghetti was also on the kitchen table. And oh my telekung sedang di sidai di pintu. Adoi malunya!
Now I remembered the real reason for not inviting anyone.
Hmm..this call for a reschedule of vacuuming day, mopping day, lipat baju day, gosok baju day, lap habuk day. Those should be done a day before my class day. he he
I know I know. I am such a failed goddess.

Bukan you sorang je...I pun cam tu. What I usually do kutip...kutip...kutip...masuk dalam 1 container and sorok kejap :-P
;) sometimes i appreciate a friend visiting the house so that i could clean up, ha ha, need a jab to clean up... klu tgl seorang diri, beginilah jadinya...
BF - I pun sama. tapi in this case we all acme together from school. tak sempat kutip. huhuhu
ibloghopper - he he he. itulah pasalnya kena susun jadual mengemas sekarang ni.
I have to say .. thank youuuuu. You make me feel so normal!!!
I have hang ups about inviting people to my house because of the same reason!!!
Which is why I don't invite and I hate it when people drop by without calling because that means I don't have ample warning to at least clear the table!!!
So you're not alone!
Bentang sejadah depan pintu rumah je lah. Takut sangat peole judge you.
Bak kata Kim Kardashian*, when your steps are followed every day, some day your true self will eventually turn out and be caught on camera and there's nothing you can do about it.
Who knows probably after this your friend will be more comfortable with you sebab you're not a control freak. Entah2 siap tidur baring lagi kat your house. I like!
*Maafkan saya kerana menonton cerita keluarga yang kurang bermoral itu. Sesungguhnya bibir dan muntut si Kim itu amat mengasyikkan.
SF - I am happy to know that I am not alone. he he
rotidua - wei makcik! Kalau aku takut people judge me I wouldn't have say this in the blog. :P
aku tak invite orang sangat sebab I am always rushing. it would not be fair for those yg di jemput. tapi kalau nak solat tak salah.
and my control freak seriously was never about kekemasan rumah to think of it. More about my self and err the kids.
ehehehe. anybody can come to my house today or maybe tomorrow, as long as you promise that you don't go upstairs. my ground floor is currently very uncharacteristically very presentable which can be attributed to the fact that somehow i had this freaky cleanliness frenzy but i don't think it would last long though.
pancakes tu real pancakes ke lempeng?
bingo!
one other thing is, fridge tak de apa-apa syndrome!
dan lagi...
rumah kecik syndrome. rumah tak lawa syndrome. rumah tak cukup cawan syndrome. lantai melekit, anak lupa flush, suami nak berkepit, maid PMS, madam PMS, anak dara pms jugak ke? etc etc.
I. AM. MENTAL! but all that goes to show we take entertaining guests seriously no?
we want them to feel comfortable. we want them to come away feeling, hey, nak lepak rumah intan lagi lah...
kekekeke
cekak pinggang nampak
Nazrah, dulu saya begitu macam2 syndrome not to invite friends..tapi sekarang no-time syndrome la pulak!!!
Lolleetah..
Sorry for mebbe a wrong question asked..
Gambor takdork Ker ?
ooops :-)
ye la loll..mana gambar? aku tak reti imagine2 ni..
everytime I kemas rumah and ask the kids to help me kemas rumah, the first thing they ask is "Is someone coming over?".
*rollseyes*
nampak sangat lah kalau orang tak datang, rumah tak berkemas...
I have resigned to the fact that I have a house that looks "lived in". Barulah tak sressed out sangat.
hee hee hee, saya faham perasaan saudari :) i don't normally invite people over for similar reasons. boleh panic attack kalau orang datang unannounced or call to say, "we are on our way there, lagi 5 minit sampai"
5 minit??? sib baik tak terlondeh kain. mulalah bebel tak henti suruh suami n anak-anak kemas apa yang patut. hahaha
Hehe i suka kemas rumah. I mop umah selang sehari..and kitchen everyday. Lap habuk pun seminggu 3 ke 4 kali. Gila kan? Cuma toys aidil je i cuci once a mth sbb byk sgt benda kecik kecik yg collect habuk.
Eh tapikan..i jeles betul dgn u..cemana bole gi class, handle 3 anak lagi, masak lagi. I still nak try to slot in my kelas mengaji entah bila nak start. Itu baru satu je kelas and anak pun baru satu jek. I think my time management fail laaahh...
